Shift Manager
Primary Role:
A Shift Manager is responsible for the overall shift operations, customer experience, sales performance and execution of brand excellence in a store. In the absence of the General Manager, the shift manager effectively is the store leader. Shift managers typically supervise a shift with a staff of 1 to 12 team members by carrying out management responsibilities consistent with Auntie Anne's policies, procedures and legal requirements.
Essential Functions:
General
- Responsible for maintaining shift operations excellence
- Ensures that the store appearance and cleanliness are to Auntie Anne's standards
- Demonstrates exceptional shift leadership behaviors
- Communicates all shift issues, concerns and needs to the store General Manager
- Responds to directives in an accurate and timely manner
- Recognizes and rewards outstanding performance of shift team members
- Educate and engage the community and store customers on all of Auntie Anne's products and services
- Other duties as assigned
Customer Service
- Demonstrates an excellent level of customer service
- Motivates and mentors team members to deliver customer service excellence
- Accountable for the customer engagement experience on the shift
- Provide customers with product suggestions and information
- Motivates and mentors team members on providing customers with product suggestions and information
- Maintain exceptional customer service metric scores
Operations
- Open and/or close the store as required. Perform all safety and security tasks, i.e., alarms, two-person rule, as required to open and close the store
- Coach, counsel and direct Team Members. Lead the team in the execution of Auntie Anne's standards through Jamba On Stage to create an excellent customer experience. Provide performance feedback to Team Members
- Lead and manage shifts while acting as manager in charge of store. Deploy Team Members as required to meet business demands and make necessary staffing decisions
- Communicate clearly, concisely and accurately in order to ensure effective shift operations
- Follow all food safety, cash handling and operations procedures and policies
- Coordinate and participate off site program customer visits and deliveries
Human Resources
- Train and on-board new Team Members on both front- and back-of-house procedures
- Provides construction performance feedback to the store team members
- Participate in the interviewing and hiring process for new team members
Business Management
- Ensure proper financial accountability during each shift. Hand off shift to next manager in charge or ensure the store is closed properly for next day’s opening manager.
- Perform all cash handling requirements of a manager in charge including close-outs, safe accountability and cash drops. Conduct inventories and process orders as required.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be able to work a minimum of 25 hours per week; must be able to work a variable shift (openings, midday shifts and closings) from week-to-week
- Ability to manage others required
- High School graduate or commensurate Auntie Anne's experience required, enrolled in college or college degree preferred
- Computer skills including some Microsoft software and register skills
- Must be able to lift 30-40 lbs regularly throughout shifts
- Ability to stand, bend, reach and scoop through-out assigned shfit
