This position is full time, 6:30-3p Monday-Friday.
We’re seeking a Operating Room (
OR)
Shift Nurse Manager with BSN and two+ years of experience as a Manager or Charge
.Our Registered Nurses are integral members of inter-professional teams in hospitals and clinics that are committed to outstanding patient care. + Plans, coordinates and directs the daily operations of a specific shift on a clinical unit. Supervising staff and facilitating communication with physicians and internal administrators to provide optimal patient care. + Routinely uses acquired knowledge, theory, research and experience to respond to changes in clinical situations. Is recognized as a charge agent and is recognized as an expert clinician and leader within their area of specialty. + Coordinates unit staffing to meet the needs of the department and mentors other Registered Nurses to the role and function of Charge Nurse. + Completes employee conference, risk management and unit management reports within specified time frames. + Identifies, recognizes and responds to the needs of unit staff to ensure that they have the resources and tools available to meet patient and family needs. + Assists in administrative activities and completes performance reviews with Unit Director input. + Must meet all Clinical Nurse I Employee Commitments. Achieves points and contact hours as defined in the PLAN (clinical lattice) point system to maintain position.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Nursing. + Two years’ experience as an RN with a minimum of two years of experience in the area of concentration. + Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board. + Certification preferred. BLS required and ACLS may be required in designated departments. + If promoted internally or hired externally, the incumbent must complete UCN/SNM criteria requirements within nine months of promotion or hire, including completion of Enhancing your Communication HLC#6488, completion of formal preceptor training workshop and enrollment in LEAP course.

Our Perioperative Surgical Department is a 22-bay unit, with currently 6 operating rooms, 4 to open in the future. We also care for patients from other procedural areas such as Interventional Radiology and Endoscopy to provide complete specialized care. Our care communities focus on patients with specific types of cancer, providing specialized infusion, clinical examination rooms, clinical research, and space for support and rehabilitation services allowing us to further focus on our holistic approach that is patient centered.
