Shift Supervisor - 022
U.S. Facilities, Inc., a consolidated facility management service, is seeking a Shift Supervisor for our Philadelphia, PA location. The Shift Supervisor is responsible for receiving and responding to service calls, taking immediate action to resolve emergency situations or system breakdowns; and overseeing trades workers, and routine preventative and corrective maintenance programs. Must be available by phone while off duty.
May be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth above to address business needs and changing business practices.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- To be responsible for the operation and maintenance requirements of the assigned trades workers, ensuring that all such services are accomplished in an effective and efficient manner. Being mindful of Manpower, Material, and time management of all organizational projects
- Receive and respond to service requests from the representatives of the PM to advise the OM&S PFM and APM of all such actions taken and of any unresolved problems
- Respond immediately to emergency situations initiate emergency operations procedures and to advise all necessary persons when resolution of an emergency exceeds the capability of the shift personnel
- Issue directions and instructions to assigned shift personnel as required. Evaluate personnel performance, capabilities and training daily.
- Ensure that all required operating logs and maintenance forms are completed accurately and that these forms are submitted to the necessary persons in a timely basis.
- Control, maintain and take accountability for the use of Tools, Parts, and equipment
Education / Qualifications
- Graduate of a technical trade school with training in mechanical systems
- Must possess or be able to possess a Class A Engineers license within 6 months of employment
- Must possess or be able to possess a Universal Refrigeration license within 6 months of employment
- A minimum of (5) years’ experience in commercial Mechanical systems operation, repair and maintenance; Experience with Boilers, Chillers, Life safety systems similar to those in a prison environment is desirable. Overall familiarity with MEP systems is a must
- A minimum of (3) years’ experience managing and supervising personnel in a service-oriented industry utilizing a CMMS software-based system
- AbilitytocommunicateeffectivelywiththePFM,andtherepresentativesofthePPS
- AbilitytowriteeffectivelyinthepreparationofreportsandformsutilizingWord,Excel,ETC
- Capable of reading blueprints, drawings and layouts
- Must be able to read and speak English clearly
- Valid Driver's License
- Able to climb ladders and walk long distances
- Able to pass Background Investigation without Criminal history
- Must be able to pass Pre-employment Drug Screening and Random Drug Testing
- Must be able to work in all climate conditions
- Will be working in Correctional environment, which is a 24/7 operation. Shifts to be assigned
- Shifts may involve multiple schedules
