Responsible for supervision of the facility maintenance and custodial operations staff during assigned shift. Ensure that all maintenance, repair, custodial duties and emergency matters are responded to and resolved in an appropriate and timely manner.
- Assists the Director of Facilities in all day to day activities and functions performed within the department are in accordance with the company’s business objectives, budgetary guidelines, and established safety standards.
- Reviews, plans, and coordinates all job assignments, sets work priorities, makes cost-effective assignment decisions and ensures the completion of projects in a timely, efficient and effective manner. Enforces and maintains superior facility standards at all times.
- Creates a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, respect and team member satisfaction; quality hiring, training and succession planning processes.
- Works closely in mentoring and coaching Facilities team members in additional tasks and responsibilities to optimize advancement opportunities available for the team.
- Ensures high level of service standards for the facility operations team as well as exceptional inter-departmental collaboration, communication and support.
- Ensures the building infrastructure needs are being monitored, tracked and maintained to ensure optimum efficiency and reliability.
- Maintains a property emergency response plan with a thoroughly trained and prepared staff, including on site availability when necessary to direct activities during such events.
- Possesses thorough computer abilities using basic Microsoft Office programs, Maintenance Management Programs, Hotel Management and Booking Systems and Building Automation Systems.
- Assist Facility Manager by ensuring the efficient and proper operations of the facility maintenance department and staff during assigned shift.
- Schedule and delegate assignments to maintenance and housekeeping staff.
- Oversee preventive maintenance procedures and schedules.
- Physically respond to emergency situations, i.e., fire, power outage, gas leak, water leak, or any other emergency or repair.
- Oversee daily cleaning of the property including Casino floor, restrooms, slot machines, etc...
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Six (6) months of prior experience in a similar position preferred.
- Must be able to stand and walk throughout shift.
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and work in confined areas.
- Must be able to safely and effectively use hand and power tools.
- Must be able to carry and communicate by two-way radio.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
