S:US Is seeking a Shift Supervisor for their women's shelter in Manhattan.
This position is located at 205 W. 135 Street New York, NY 10030
SCOPE OF ROLE:
The Shift Supervisor provides supervision and training to Residential Specialists and Community Coordinators.
Supervision includes, but is not limited to, ongoing individual supervisory meetings; building inspections, ongoing feedback regarding job performance; coordinating work schedules, timesheets and requests for time off; coordinating work assignments; evaluating paperwork and documentation including the Security Log and Maintenance Work Order Log books; coordinating security and maintenance staff training, development and evaluation. May be required to fulfill duties of residential aides and/or custodial personnel in their absence.Responsible for maintaining fire safety
Qualifications
- F-80 is required.
- Security license is mandatory but may be obtained within 6 months if hired.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of experience in Security or Building Maintenance is required.
- Ability to provide crisis intervention utilizing good interpersonal skills with a high level of maturity and responsibility
- Experience in office management and/or staff supervision is required.
- Experience working in a large residential/institutional setting with a special needs population is required.
- Strong writing, interpersonal, and organizational skills required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- NYS Driver’s License preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish speaking preferred
