A highly successful, Colorado-based restaurant is seeking a Shift Supervisor to ensure company goals and standards are implemented and maintained at its Parker-area location. This detail-oriented, organized, and motivated individual will be responsible for creating all training materials for the company, implementing the training materials, and working alongside team members and managers to grow and develop our teams.
Shift Supervisor Job Description
Responsible for the overall Guest Experience in the restaurant, ensuring consistent and solid operations that exceed guest expectations. Must have the ability to properly manage multiple aspects of the restaurant during each shift, including front desk, bar, and most importantly table side guest visits. Must have leadership skills, communication and listening skills, and a strong work ethic. Must have prior leadership experience in the restaurant industry. Must be able to motivate and inspire employees to high levels of guest service and satisfaction.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead by example in work ethic, guest service, and absolute integrity.
- Help oversee day-to-day operations, including reservations, staffing, food prep, food presentation, guest relations, large-group contracts, vendor relations, costs controls, and profitability.
- Work closely with the General Manager, Assistant Manager, Executive Chef, Director of Advertising and Marketing, and restaurant owner to monitor key metrics and achieve high performance.
- Coordinate in-house operations between FOH and BOH departments.
- Effectively resolve conflict among staff and/or among guests.
- Support local marketing efforts to increase brand awareness and build the brand in the local community.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of restaurant experience.
- Proven management capabilities with solid references.
- ServSafe certification required.
- Commitment to excellence and high-quality food and service.
- Fluent in English – able to write, read and speak English proficiently.
- Solid quantitative skills – inventory, pricing, spreadsheets, forecasted guest traffic.
- Computer skills – proficient in typing, navigating Windows, using MS Office (Word & Excel), ability to learn Point of Sale, Reservation System, and Back-Office software.
Working Conditions
- 90% of the time standing and 10% of the time sitting.
- Must be available to weekends and holidays.
- Direct contact with guests, managers, and employees throughout the day.
- Behaves professionally and can be flexible in a changing environment.
- Must be able to carry loads greater than 35 pounds and transport up to 70 pounds regularly.
- Must be able to hear with 100% accuracy with correction.
- Must be able to see to 20/20 vision with correction.
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary range between Starting $25-$27/Hour
