About the Job
We have an outstanding Contract position for aShipping Clerkto join a leading Company located inEverett, WA.
Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour
Duration: 4 month contract
Job Responsibilities:
+ The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for the assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping of merchandise or material.
+ Examine contents of shipment and compare with record , such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of out-going shipment.
+ Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials.
+ Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, and space availability for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.
+ Pack , seal, and label materials to prepare for shipping using work devices such as hand tools/power tools .
+ Requisition and store materials and supplies to maintain stock inventory.
Basic Hiring Criteria:
+ High school diploma or equivalent
+ Must have basic computer skills and Microsoft Office products
+ Basic understanding of loading trucks and staging and freight preparation.
+ Some experience and training of crate assembly and crating department procedures.
+ Some experience in shipping department tools and usage ( i.e. power tools ).
+ Entry-level job with little or no prior relevant experience.
+ Must be able to lift up to 40lbs unassisted
