Job Overview
As a Shipping Clerk, you will perform the following tasks, primarily using computer-based systems such as Microsoft Office, UPS WorldShip and FEDEX ShipManager:
- Assist with domestic and international freight shipments
- Document handling
- Scheduling + quoting
- Assist with inbound and outbound parcel shipments
- Running shipping labels
- Log inbound parcels for distribution
- Assist with record keeping and paperwork
- Perform data entry tasks
- Provide 2nd set of eyes for receiving/counting
- Scan outbound pick tickets and distribute as required
- Other duties as assigned

- Follow safety rules, work policies per training/ SOP
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and teamwork in meeting goals and objectives
- Assist other team members to balance the workload and provide consistent productivity
- Communicate well with leadership, team members and other departments
- Physical conditions
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be required to reach with hands and arms, at times above head; and talk and hear
- Must be able to regularly lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl, and occasionally required to sit and climb
- Must be able to sit/stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to tolerate hot and cold warehouse work environment
Qualifications
- Comfort with technology, including familiarity with UPS WorldShip and FedEx Ship Manger preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 12 months or more related experience and/or training or combination of education and experience
- Experience and knowledge of safe warehousing practices and product movement
- Ability to understand sequential location logic
- Sufficient math skills to add, subtract, multiply and divide to determine correct quantities of parts / items / pallets are processed
- Be responsible, self-motivated, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality.
