Shipping Lead / Logistics Technician III - MCPC

The Foundry is Cleveland’s Community Rowing and Sailing Center. We are a local non-profit organization located in the historic “Flats area of Cleveland”. Our mission is to transform the lives of Cleveland’s youth through access to the sports of rowing and sailing. Performs quality control, deconstruction, sorting and maintaining flow of materials throughout warehouse.  

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Utilizes experience to serve as a trainer to all logistics associates.
• Physically deconstructing Information Technology Asset Disposition items such as, but limited to, computers, servers, printers, networking gear, phones, tablets, and bulk scrap.
• Utilizing asset-management Software to record changes such as location and destruction.
• Placing the proper commodities into bin locations with a high commitment to quality and accuracy.
• Load and unload materials in warehouses and storage facilities.  Materials may be moved from trucks or other transport equipment.
• Receive materials into an organization and verify materials against invoices to ensure accuracy of the delivery.
• Count or weigh parts to check quantity accuracy.
• Pick parts for shipment and package according to shipping procedures
• Use of material moving equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts and dollies to bring products and materials to an appropriate location.
• Must be able to drive a forklift and/or box truck

• Lift up to 49 pounds
• Push utility carts up to 60 pounds
• Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
• Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
• Adhere to strict safety, quality, and production standards
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One to two years of experience with basic warehouse material handling preferable
• Must have forklift and or box truck driving experience
