Shipping / Receiving Associate Job Purpose &Responsibilities:
The Logistics Associate I is responsible for the successful daily execution of receiving, stocking, picking, and shipping ofproducts. He or she will operate with a high degree of safety, responsiveness, and accuracy to ensure the highest level of operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Processing, packaging and shipping orders accurately and on time using system provided documentation
- Receive, unload and put away incoming inventory items accurately and appropriately
- General maintenance, organization, and cleaning of shipping, receiving, storage, and service areas
- Operation of various types of material handling equipment including narrow aisle reach trucks and forklifts in compliance with safety procedures
- Provide support for all functions within the operation as needed
- Must adhere to Company EH&S policy and procedures when preforming job duties
- Other duties or tasks as assigned by manager
Shipping / Receiving Associate Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- At least 1 year of logistics experience
- Certified and licensed to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other material handling equipment
Shipping / Receiving Associate Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ERP Systems – SAP, SFDC
- Familiarity with 5s methodology
Specific Professional Skills/Competencies:
- Team player with good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to use systems, tools, and technologies
- Demonstrated communication skills (written and verbal)
- Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to accept coaching and direction from a team leader or senior associate
Physical Demands:
- Ability tolift upto OSHA single person lift requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, bend or walk for prolonged periods of time
