The Shop/Field Technician and Yard Assistant is to assist in a variety of diesel and small engine mechanical repair and maintenance work and assisting the Yard with customer purchases which include loading, deliveries, and unloading material when available and needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Good IT and diagnostic skills.
Physically fit and able to lift up to 150 pounds.
Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools.
Attention to detail.
Good interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
REQUIREMENTS
CDL - A
Degree, certification, or diploma in mechanical or automotive engineering.
Diesel certification.
Minimum of 2 years' experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Assist the mechanics with conducting regular maintenance on machinery, systems, and automotive vehicles.
Assemble mechanical components according to specifications.
Examine machines and oversee diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems.
Pick up and deliver parts as needed for service vehicles and jobs.
Repairing, replacing, and servicing vehicle brakes, completing oil changes, and other parts.
Keep service van clean, organized, and stocked with proper parts and supplies.
Follow proper PPE and safety protocols when working on equipment.
Safely operate and work with the Yard Assistant as needed in the Supply Yard.
Keep equipment clean during and after each use.
Conducting field visits in case of an emergency or sudden breakdown.
Maintain workspaces and promote shop safety.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Profit-sharing eligibility: 4th Quarter annually
