Position Summary:
Oversee shop production and maintain an open line of communication with shop personnel, assigned customers and vendors. Support Regional Operations manager and supervise assigned shop personnel.
Job Description/Expectations:
· Maintain work area to be clean, organized, and safe following 5S standards
· Conduct oneself in a professional manner that represents a positive image of FHE
· Implement, monitor, and enforce all safety requirements
· Assist General Manager TX/OH in any necessary tasks
· Communicate with assigned customers and upper management on their production and progress schedules
· Work with Regional Operations Manager on meeting monthly income and budget goals
· Manage production schedule for the shop
· Hold weekly production meetings
· Manage & monitor daily operations for the shop
· Create part replacement quotes for assigned customers jobs
· Communicate with machine shops on parts and ETA's
· Order paint, materials, and shop supplies for shop use
· Receive, visually inspect, tear down and rebuild equipment to meet customer needs and FHE Quality standards
· Manage and facilitate shop training with necessary documentation
· Administer disciplinary notices when necessary
· Review all service jobs prior to invoicing
· Communicate delivery times and methods with customers and management
· Pick up and deliver equipment when necessary (CDL required)
· Assist senior technical advisor in reviewing 5-year testing results
· Any other duties or tasks as assigned, based on business needs.
Knowledge / Skills / Expertise:
· Strong knowledge of Oil & Gas Industry - particularly wireline equipment
· Compiling, checking and recording information.
· Communication proficiency, organizational skills, mathematical skills, thoroughness, time management.
· Read, write and communicate clearly in English
· Good decision-making skills with ability to work under pressure
· Troubleshooting and analytical skills needed
· Mechanical and technical understanding of pressure control equipment
· Ability to manage personnel effectively - 3 years' experience preferred
· CDL Class A license with hazmat endorsement preferred
Environmental Conditions and Work Environment:
· Exposure to certain contaminants, at times.
· Exposure to loud noise levels, at times.
· This position works in both and office and a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.
· This role may, at times, use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters, etc.
Tools and Equipment Used:
May be required to operate forklift to maneuver parts at times, operate overhead crane, sanders, various welding equipment and tools, grinders, generators, wrenches, common hand and power tools.
Physical Demands:
· This position requires continual use of your hands, considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, pushing, pulling, repetitive motions, coordination and dexterity, sitting, walking, stooping and handling materials. Climbing on ladders may be required.
· The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 50-75 pounds or more without physical restrictions.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color and peripheral vision and depth perception.
· Employees are regularly required to stand and walk for long periods of time.
The use of safety equipment such as safety glasses, steel-toed shoes/boots, gloves, hard hats, and hearing protection daily.
Other:
· This position may work overtime hours as needed, according to department workload.
· Dress in a fashion that enables employees to complete the daily tasks, while maintaining a professional and appropriate appearance.
