Joining Stahla Services means you're stepping up as a leader in a growing and fast-paced team environment. As a Shop Head, you'll be pivotal in motivating and guiding your team of 1-5 people, ensuring each person thrives and contributes to our collective success. Your role is central to fostering a culture of excellence, not just in delivering and servicing restroom and shower trailers, but in every interaction and touchpoint with our team and customers.
In this leadership role, you'll be the linchpin of communication from your shop to across the entire organization. This role is responsible for the start-to-finish oversight of delivering and servicing our restroom trailers and shower trailers to create an outstanding experience for our customers.

Hours
- Typically 8AM-4PM
- Some weekend work included
Daily Roles and Responsibilities
- First to arrive unless there are special scheduling requirements
- Daily prep
- Check to-dos
- Check emails and texts for any new information about trailer sets
- Review event schedule for upcoming day and week
- Review and update daily to-dos for your shop
- Lead Stand Up Meeting with Operations Technicians outlining daily tasks and goals
- Review the upcoming days, check for issues, and come up with a workable schedule
- Ensure Operations Technicians are properly using and updating systems
- Ensure all services and sets are prepped for and completed
- Shop Heads should be supervising, working with, and completing all of the same tasks as Operations Technicians at least a portion of most days
- Supervise and conduct preventive and emergency maintenance
- Take advantage of “On The Job” training opportunities with Operations Technicians
- Ensure the shop, tools, and equipment are being maintained and reset for the next day
- Make a plan and fill out to-dos for the following day
- Preview the plan with Operations Technicians as needed
- To-dos should be specific and detailed for Operations Technicians success
- Last one to leave unless there are special scheduling requirements
Weekly Roles and Responsibilities
- Phone calls with Operations Team 2-3 times a week to plan and troubleshoot
- Video conference calls with the Shop Head Team once a week
- An in-depth meeting with Operations Technicians at the beginning of the week outlining:
- Tasks, priorities, and goals of the week
- Schedule and priorities for next couple of weeks
- Talk through any big events coming up
- Pass down information from the Operations Team meeting
- Summary of previous week
- Order parts and tools as needed
- Schedule and assist with shop, break room, and bathroom clean up
- Review and update Master Trailer and Truck each Friday
- Look over next two months, check for issues, and outline a plan
- Review to-dos, quarterly goals, and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Review maintenance needs for trucks and shop equipment to schedule or conduct as needed
Monthly Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct Technician Training on the first Wednesday of the month
- Service pump truck vacuum system on the first Monday of the month
- Schedule and review Technicians work schedule and time sheets on the 14th day and last business day of the month
- Attend and contribute to Growth Calls as a shop team once a month for team bonding
Quarterly Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct Quarterly Conversation lunches with each Technician at your shop
- Organize and lead at least one team building event for your shop
- Go over truck inventory to reset each vehicle
Yearly Roles and Responsibilities
- March: small engine servicing
- October: prepare trucks, all trailers, and shop supplies for winter
- November: deep clean shop
Requirements
- Ability to work with and lead a team of 1-4 people
- Ability to drive and back up large trucks (including a manual) with large trailers attached
- Ability to safely work on, and scale, flatbed truck beds
- Ability to have a flexible schedule for large and immediate jobs that arise
- Ability to think on your feet and problem solve quickly with the tools you have available
- Ability to navigate using Google Maps and make business calls on your phone
- Ability to lift 100 pounds
- Able to qualify for a CDL
- Commitment to excellence, customer service, and in providing support to employees
- Excellence in organization, record keeping, reporting and communication
- Able to manage and maintain over $1 Million in equipment
- Managing $1.5 Million (+) in business
- 70% hands on with work, 30% office/computer work
- Think ahead and plan a schedule for logistics and delegating staff
- High communication and follow through
- DOT - Safe driver: high level of commercial driving skills
- Committed to excellence and improving constantly
- Continual training of Operation Technicians
- Interact positively with customers to coordinate and fulfill rentals
- Willing to travel approximately 10 days a month, which may include overnight trips
- Create a shop environment of positivity and hard work
- Maintain a clean and orderly shop
- Manage tools and equipment
- Communicate effectively with the whole Stahla Team
- Confirm all trucks and supplies stored at the end of each day
- In charge of when and where to dump waste
- Create and maintain inventory at your shop
- Order, maintain, and report on usage of all shop supplies
- Navigate and drive to locations for rentals
- Clean and restock the inside and outside of restroom and shower trailers
- Set, pickup, and service specialty trailers
- Repair trucks and trailers as needed
