Shop Manager - Electric Supply Co., Inc.

Position Description:  

Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Electric Supply Co. shop and grounds. The Shop Manager is responsible for managing the shop, storage yard, and warehouse space, and 
maintaining these spaces for safe and secure use. The Shop Manager shall supervise personnel associated with the shop, which includes deliveries, pre-fabrication, materials, tools, and equipment.   

Shop Manager Requirements: 

• High School Diploma or GED 
• Valid SD Driver’s License 
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar position and/or construction/manufacturing trades
• Understanding and ability to utilize work optimization techniques
• Strong verbal and written communication skills 
• Knowledge of safety requirements and procedures (i.e. OSHA 10-Hour) 
• Strong leadership skills. 
• Strong problem-solving skills. 
• Proficient with MS Outlook, Word, Xcel, etc. 
   

Shop Manager Responsibilities: 

• Working Hours 7:30AM/8:00AM to 4:00PM/4:30PM Monday thru Friday. 
• Receive, store, and manage materials, tools, and equipment. 
• Manage delivery services for projects. 
• Maintain and manage tool/equipment inventory. 
• Support and manage pre-fabrication requirements for projects. 
• Maintain facility security with doors and gates. 
• Open communication with all field personnel and management team members. 
• Attend meetings with management and field personnel. 
• Enforce safety regulations and protocols. 
• Utilize strategies to optimize workflow and operational efficiency. 
• Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling deliveries, timecards, JHAs, etc.
