About the Job
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert to support management/detailer development, goal-setting implementation, and performance improvement plans.
- Support management in identifying and focusing on employee retention and technical skill improvements.
- Understand and effectively communicate overall auction/client goals and performance metrics, while focusing on the employee’s role and accountability in the achievement of those goals.
- Foster relationships with managers and employees to drive open lines of communication.
- Working with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure all equipment is maintained and serviced correctly to reduce or eliminate downtime and also to ensure appropriate supply levels are maintained.
- Communicate weekly with Senior Management as to Progress, Challenges, and Team Developmental needs.
- Implement and maintain supply cost control measures.
- Manage Employee overtime.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven track record of setting and achieving goals.
- Demonstrated ability to be a role model to employees with regard to professional behavior, demeanor, and appearance.
- Must demonstrate attention to detail, focus, commitment, and resourcefulness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Strong organization and follow-through skills; sales and business development skills.
- Ability to motivate others and to impart the concept of continuous (ongoing) improvement to employees at all points on the performance continuum.
- Ability to objectively and accurately evaluate the performance and skills of Detailers, Supervisors, and Admins and to provide constructive feedback.
- Bi-lingual (Spanish-English).
Work experience:
The successful candidate will ideally have 2 years of experience in several of the following areas:
- Management of a labor-intensive light industrial business with a skilled manual workforce.
- Management of multiple shifts.
- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office, and digital media generally.
- Setting and achieving revenue and expenditure budgets.
- Automotive dealer Service Advisor/ Manager or Management of Auction Operations a plus.
