Standard TV and Appliance is seeking a SHOWROOM MANAGER reporting to the Director of Sales for our Wilsonville location.
The ideal candidate should have at minimum, an associate's degree in management, leadership, or business, OR equivalent experience performing manager-level duties in a friendly, fast-paced, customer-facing professional environment.

JOB SUMMARY:
The SHOWROOM MANAGER will play an integral part in maximizing store revenue through the acquisition and retention of friendly, knowledgeable, and competent staff; use of marketing, merchandising, and sales strategies to boost sales opportunities; application of administrative policies and disciplines; and establishment of written job expectations and audit protocol as related to performance, employee policies and procedures, and compliance. Additional tasks as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Personnel
- Manage department staff including, but not limited to:
- Draft scheduling of all subordinate staff.
- Track and approve/disapprove requests for time off.
- Review and correct staff time records to facilitate accurate payroll processing.
- Track staff attendance and enact discipline, as necessary.
- Track the performance, behavior, and policy and procedural compliance of staff, take corrective action as needed.
- Identify current staff training needs and ensure staff training is completed according to current and revised policies and procedures, follow-up where necessary.
- Develop training procedures and manage the training of department new hires.
- Properly staff and create schedules for your department based on fluctuating needs.
- Partner with HR to project future staffing needs, including staff transfers to other departments, or other positions within the department.
- Inform HR of current staffing needs, interview and select final candidates.
- Hold store meetings at an appropriate frequency to maximize staff productivity.
- Ensure that staff is compliant with safety rules, address unsafe work behaviors, submit required paperwork for injured workers to HR within 24 hours.
Site and Sales Management
- Ensure all ad items and alternatives to ad items are on the floor and tagged before the first day of all advertising campaigns.
- Ensure all salespeople review current and future ads and review all competitors' ads daily.
- Monitor any outside banner schedule, making sure they are reconciled to reflect the current promotion or specific product focus.
- Attend and participate in Salespeople or Sales Management meetings. Manage meeting agenda as directed by Director of Sales.
- Schedule daily training meetings for all salespeople as needed, document attendance and retention of training content tests.
- Hold regular meetings with subordinates and other departmental managers to assess facility security and safety.
- Ensure daily showroom walkthroughs are performed per policy to maximize cleanliness, appearance, and neatness.
- Verify all customers are greeted appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure all phone calls for Salespeople are answered or returned in a timely manner.
- Ensure subordinate staff is trained in how to manage various customer interactions, and that subordinate staff commits to total customer satisfaction.
- Ensure subordinate staff are aware of current retail finance promotions and that they follow procedures to effectively execute them.
- Establish and maintain programs to maximize employee, consumer, and guest safety, and preservation of Company assets.
- Monitor voids, below cost and low margin sales daily, and verify the cause of each occurrence and report findings to Director of Sales.
- Ensure backorder reports are reviewed per policy and that delivery dates are assigned per policy.
- Ensure that non-prime stock is properly merchandised and priced.
- Assess adjacent land and facilities for ordinance compliance and that its condition is conducive to achieving corporate objectives, especially the crisp, professional presentation of the organization and the delivery of the highest level of customer service.
Building and Facilities Maintenance (in collaboration with Building and Facilities Maintenance Manager)
- Construct, perform, and audit preventive maintenance processes.
- Identify and assign priority level to all sites' maintenance needs; establish an action plan to address needs.
- Site Warehouse: Ensure Site Warehouse staff members interact with customers in an appropriate manner.
- For product movement transactions performed by Site Warehouse staff, ensure that the transaction is properly recorded on documents and in the computer, that product is handled in a manner that minimizes or eliminates the potential for injury and/or damage to customer or company property, that the product is placed into the correct location, and that the product is accurately and adequately labeled.
- Monitor cleanliness of warehouse and parking lot, maintain exterior of store (lawn, trees, and planting beds.)
MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's degree in management, leadership, or business, or equivalent competencies or prior work experience related to exceptional customer service in a fast-paced professional environment.
- Must be detail-oriented, possess good organizational skills.
- Ability to work on several projects simultaneously.
- Excellent telephone etiquette.
- Fluency in English (written & verbal).
- Strong computer skills and experience, including Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays, overtime as needed, and work assignments at multiple sites.
- Ability to work positively in a team environment, demonstrating excellent leadership and supervisory skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under stressful situations.
PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of sales software systems.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or finance.
- Prior retail experience with an emphasis on sales.
- Fluency in Spanish, Eastern European or Asian languages.
