Shutdown Worker at Express Employment Professionals

Express Employment is looking for shutdown workers to support routine maintenance during plant and facility shutdowns. 

• $17-$18/hour.
• Day Shift
• Weekly Pay 

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with planned maintenance activities and emergency repairs during plant or facility shutdowns.
• Operate and maintain tools, machinery, and equipment to ensure they are ready for use during the shutdown.
• Follow all safety procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), to maintain a safe working environment.
• Perform isolation of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, including following lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Clean and organize work areas before, during, and after completing tasks.
• Inspect equipment, pipelines, and structures for damage or wear, and report any issues to supervisors.
• Ensure tools and equipment are in good working condition and assist with setting up and breaking down work areas.
• Collaborate with other workers, supervisors, and departments to meet shutdown goals and deadlines.
• Keep accurate records of work completed, issues encountered, and equipment used during the shutdown process.

Job Requirements

• Previous experience in shutdown, maintenance, or industrial work (oil & gas, manufacturing, or similar industries is preferred).
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy equipment, working in confined spaces, and standing for long periods.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and a commitment to following safety guidelines.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and machinery commonly used in maintenance and shutdown operations.
