POSITION PURPOSE
The primary purpose of this position is to shuttle students from the Lakeland Campus to and from internships, jobs, community service, shopping or entertainment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- This recruitment is to fill full time shuttle driver positions that will primarily work 8 hour shifts Sunday through Saturday and some holidays. Regular weekend and holiday work is a requirement of the position;
- Use exceptional customer service skills in all interactions with students;
- Attend professional development and training programs as required;
- Drive university vehicles (van or mini-bus) to various stops in the Sheboygan County area;
- Keep records of passenger numbers and/or log-book as required;
- Knowledge of report writing and daily drive logs;
- Inspect college vehicles to determine any issues with the vehicle;
- Report any issues with students or drop off locations;
- Comply with traffic regulations in order to operate vehicles in a safe and courteous manner;
- Assist with academic/special event trips (various times/days);
- Maintain a good driving record on and off duty;
- Service vehicles for fuel when needed.
SPECIALIZE KNOW-HOW & SKILLS
- Requires the ability to pass Red Cross Professional Rescuer CPR/AED/First Aid;
- Ability to use diplomacy and tact when dealing with situations;
- Ability to effectively manage time and priorities;
- Demonstrated ability to tactfully and effectively communicate (written and verbal) with a variety of individuals;
- Strong critical thinking skills;
- Demonstrates organizational ability, and attention to detail and accuracy;
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment;
- Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays as needed;
- Ability to multitask effectively;
- Ability to effectively use a computer, tablet and smart phone.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds. Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, snow, rain, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.

Minimum Qualifications
- High School or equivalent;
- A valid state-issued driver's license;
- At least 21 years of age, 24 years of age to drive mini-bus;
- Be willing to submit to pre-employment screening, Criminal Background Investigation, Motor Vehicle Records Verification, Drug and Alcohol Test;
- No previous felony convictions;
- Ability to communicate effectively with the supervisor and co-workers;
- Superior interpersonal and positive customer service skills;
- Ability to work with diverse populations;
- Ability to effectively use a computer, tablet and smart phone.
Conditions of Employment
- Successfully pass a criminal history background check;
- Successfully pass a drug and alcohol test;
- Possess a current, valid, unrestricted driver's license;
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds;
- Ability to work in inclement weather;
- Ability to work mandated shifts and hours.
