About the Job
Supports the development, technical preparation and execution of Simulation activities delivered in Immersive Design Systems’ facilities, at the point of care throughout Boston Children’s Hospital, and off site at network and partner sites. Advises clinical facilitators and provides technical expertise and support in the development of a wide range of simulation-based learning experiences. Leads projects of moderate complexity.

The Simulation Operations Specialist III will be responsible for:
- Support, set up and operate various simulator technologies including: anatomic models and task trainers, full-body patient simulators, and screen-based and virtual reality simulations
- Serve as a simulator operator by running scenarios with faculty instructors and/or content experts, assuring that the facility and equipment are set up for simulation sessions.
- Conduct routine equipment and inventory maintenance and assist in equipment purchases.
- Coordinates software and hardware upgrades and ensures functionality of simulators, a/v systems, and medical equipment.
- Create and implement innovative ideas, evaluate new equipment and identify opportunities for technology improvement.
- Provides technical expertise and support in the development of a wide range of simulation-based learning experiences.
- Train simulation team members and other pertinent faculty in the operational and technological aspects of simulation.
- Contributes to project milestones
Job Type – Hybrid
To qualify you must have:
- Associate Degree in the field of Science, Technical or healthcare is required
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of Science, Technical or healthcare if preferred
- Medical Simulation experience in healthcare setting
- 3 years of related experience in the healthcare setup is required. Expertise in mechanical, computer and AV technology concepts.
