Site Manager -
Primary Functions
This full-time position is responsible for the day-to-day manufacturing and site operations ensuring the safe, timely and high-quality execution of manufacturing tasks.
Primary Activities
- Maintain a culture of safety
- Oversee daily operations, including but not limited to
- Staffing and running manufacturing processes to satisfy sales forecast/demand
- Coordinate employee schedules, ensuring adequate coverage
- Support maintenance of manufacturing and related laboratory equipment
- Maintaining documentation of manufacturing processes / PM program
- Oversee supply chain, including but not limited to
- Maintaining relationships with suppliers and ensuring adequate supplies to maintain operations
- Sourcing new/secondary suppliers as needed
- Proper inventory management practices
- Oversee quality program
- Work with engineering and product teams to develop and support
- Maintain compliance with local, state and federal regulations
- Ensure site utilities and services are reliable
- Maintain relationship with building manager
Skills
- Project management
- Ability to schedule efficient staff work assignments
- Technical competencies in manufacturing (e.g. read technical drawings, electrical specifications, basic gas/liquid handling systems, efficient use/knowledge of hand tools)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other industry/office software
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage light maintenance tasks
Qualities

- Effective communicator, both verbally and written
- Manages information and communications discreetly
Education
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, business, or engineering
- Three to five years' experience in project-based work site, manufacturing management or related field
