Position Overview
The Site Manager will oversee and manage industrial construction projects at the Martinez and Richmond locations in Northern California. The role involves ensuring project goals are met in terms of safety, quality, schedule, and budget while developing new business opportunities. The Site Manager will also serve as the primary point of contact between clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety & Environmental Management:
- Lead daily operations with a strong focus on safety and environmental responsibility.
- Investigate serious incidents and implement corrective measures as needed.
The Site Manager will oversee and manage industrial construction projects at the Martinez and Richmond locations in Northern California. The role involves ensuring project goals are met in terms of safety, quality, schedule, and budget while developing new business opportunities. The Site Manager will also serve as the primary point of contact between clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety & Environmental Management:
- Lead daily operations with a strong focus on safety and environmental responsibility.
- Investigate serious incidents and implement corrective measures as needed.
Project Management & Coordination:
- Utilize and enhance the management system to meet customer, regulatory, and company standards.
- Establish project objectives, policies, and performance standards in alignment with corporate guidelines.
- Coordinate project contracts and strategies with the Project Controls Manager and Director of Operations.
- Negotiate project-specific contracts and Master Service Agreements with support from the Project Control Manager and Contracts Manager.
- Utilize and enhance the management system to meet customer, regulatory, and company standards.
- Establish project objectives, policies, and performance standards in alignment with corporate guidelines.
- Coordinate project contracts and strategies with the Project Controls Manager and Director of Operations.
- Negotiate project-specific contracts and Master Service Agreements with support from the Project Control Manager and Contracts Manager.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Maintain effective communication and relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
- Act as the liaison to facilitate construction activities and resolve jurisdictional disputes when necessary.
- Ensure smooth and efficient information transfer between office and field teams.
Resource Management:
- Plan, organize, and staff key field positions in collaboration with the Construction Manager.
- Develop and submit budget estimates and project proposals tailored to client needs.
- Monitor and control construction activities to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.
Financial Oversight:
- Manage the financial aspects of contracts, including fee payments, rental equipment, and other expenses.
- Prepare and submit invoices, and ensure accurate and timely billing in the Viewpoint system.
- Monitor project financial performance and submit monthly revenue and cost projections.
Field Operations & Quality Control:
- Perform regular site inspections to assess work quality, safety compliance, and overall progress.
- Approve field purchases, coordinate equipment delivery, and manage project change orders.
- Ensure safety procedures, training, and orientation are completed and adhered to.

Qualifications
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- 5-10 years of industrial construction experience (refinery, petrochemical, power plants), including supervisory roles.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in computer systems and project management software.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- 5-10 years of industrial construction experience (refinery, petrochemical, power plants), including supervisory roles.

Compensation:
Salary: $200k - $220k
