Role Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and organized Site Plan Technician to join our team. The Site Plan Technician is responsible for developing detailed site plans and diagrams to support the permitting process for generator installations. This role requires a strong understanding of zoning regulations, construction codes, and site layout considerations. The Site Plan Technician will work closely with project coordinators and permitting authorities to ensure that all site plans meet regulatory requirements and support the successful installation of generators.
Responsibilities & Process:
- Create Detailed Site Plans: Develop accurate and detailed site diagrams for generator installations, including locations of equipment, utility connections, access routes, and safety zones.
- Collaborate with Project Teams: Work closely with project coordinators and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and ensure site plans align with project goals.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure that all site plans comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including zoning laws, building codes, and environmental standards.
- Assist with Permitting: Support the permitting process by preparing site plans that meet the specific requirements of permitting authorities and by making revisions as needed.
- Maintain Documentation: Keep detailed records of all site plans, revisions, and communications with permitting authorities.
- Provide Technical Support: Offer technical assistance to project teams during the installation phase to ensure that the site plan is accurately implemented.
Requirements:
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in site planning, drafting, or a similar role, preferably within the construction or electrical industry.
- Technical Skills: strong understanding of site layout principles, and familiarity with permitting processes.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of zoning regulations, building codes, and construction standards related to generator installations.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams and permitting authorities.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in creating site plans and diagrams.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify potential issues in site layouts and propose effective solutions.
