AFO is looking for a Site Project Manager/Maintenance Electrician to work in Oak Ridge, TN.
This position serves as a Site Project Manager/Maintenance Electrician for AFO at the Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI), Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
Responsibilities
+ Supports the project Safety Plan through involvement in all aspects of safety, including training and attention to the adherence to safety requirement pertaining to particular trades or skills.
+ Performs the electrical duties necessary to maintain all buildings and structures in good repair.
+ Performs a variety of electrical trade functions, such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the distribution, or utilization of electrical energy.
+ Installs or repairs any of a variety of electrical equipment.
+ Locates and diagnoses trouble in electrical systems or equipment.
+ Work involves planning and layout of work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions.
+ Works standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
+ Assists other crafts and trades personnel in their daily operations. Specifically, on occasion, but not limited to, assist the Alarm Technician classification.
+ Performs on call duties as required
+ Performs other tasks as necessary
Qualifications
+ Valid state driver’s license
+ Valid Electrical Journeyman’s Certification or comparable experience
+ Three years’ work experience in O&M services supporting a military base or civilian installation
+ Verbal and written communication skills
+ Working knowledge (less than Journeyman) in carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and painting
+ On-Call 24-7 response with the ability to respond to base emergency within 1- hour
Preferred Qualification:
+ High school diploma / GED
+ State electrical license preferred
Work Conditions:
+ Work hours are subject to change, with overtime work as needed
+ Work is performed indoors and outdoors. Outdoors work is subject to temperature extremes and inclement weather conditions.
+ Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclines, hard and soft-carpeted floors, cement structures and surfaces
