Site Quality Assurance Specialist - Environmental Laboratory - Professional Service Industries Inc

Intertek PSI, is searching for a Site Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Building & Constructionteam in our Pittsburgh, PA office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry!

The Site Quality Assurance Specialist will work in our IAQ laboratory, which specializes in analyzing samples for mold, asbestos, lead, and radon.

What you'll do:

• Generate Work Instructions (WI) and Technical Operating Procedures (TOP)
• Maintain WI & TOP manuals in each lab
• Maintain log of WI and TOP
• Accreditations / registries / certifications / licenses: California, Massachusetts, Connecticut, West Virginia, Virginia, Louisiana, Ohio, USDA, City of Philadelphia, New York, AIHA, NVLAP
• Responsible person and/or central contact for laboratory
• For New York specifically maintain an account for submitting PT results, annual renewal applications, total sample volumes and more.
• Monitor new regulations, communicate them to the laboratory, and ensure compliance with the current version of regulations
• Self-audits annually
• Coordinate External audits
• Review control charts for out-of-control data and be certain there is a resolution and/or corrective action
• Assist in identification of systematic problems within the laboratory. Perform root cause analysis investigations in response to audit findings, client complaints, training needs assessments, data recall events, etc.
• Recommend resolutions for ongoing or recurring nonconformance, and ensures implementation of appropriate corrective action
• Maintain Master Control charts and other forms for documentation of QC checks
• Maintain log of controlled documents and forms
• Gather data for Management Review
• Maintain Equipment list

• BS/BA in Physical or Biological Sciences
• 3 years of bench level analytical experience and training/experience in laboratory Quality Assurance
• Accreditations / registries / certifications / licenses: California, Massachusetts, Connecticut, West Virginia, Virginia, Louisiana, Ohio, USDA, City of Philadelphia, New York, AIHA, NVLAP are preferred.
