Position: Site Reliability Engineer
Location: Remote Hawaii
We are looking for a proactive and analytical Site Reliability Engineer to join our API & Integrations team. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the reliability, availability, and performance of our cloud-based infrastructure that supports our digital and API platforms. You will collaborate closely with development, operations, business continuity, and product teams to design, implement, and monitor systems that uphold high performance and reliability standards, as well as key service level agreements (SLAs).
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (Hours may vary)
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Automation Engineering is required.
- Strong expertise in AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
- Proficient in scripting and automation tools such as Python, Golang, Bash, and Terraform.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools, particularly Datadog.
- Experience managing and optimizing APIs and SQL-based databases.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems, like Git.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, security practices, and best practices in cloud architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on root cause analysis and incident resolution.
- Experience working in agile environments and a clear understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Familiarity with caching systems and message queues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A desire to enhance leadership skills through conferences, programs, and learning opportunities.
- A commitment to learning and embracing new technologies.
- Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
