SITE RELIABILITY ENGINEER AT GLOBAL FINTECH FIRM
Base Salary is $200K to $250K (based upon candidate and experience)

Solidly established Global FinTech Firm is looking for an experienced systems engineer to join its Site Reliability Engineer Team as a Site Reliability Engineer. You will be involved in engineering and supporting the firm's Critical Infrastructure Platforms. Additionally, you will manage the centralized development infrastructure and partners with engineering teams across the firm to advocate and educate on the optimal use of our systems to build high-performing, reliable, and scalable applications. This is a hands-on technical role.
We work in a hybrid model where employees are in the office Tuesdays through Thursdays, with the option to work from home on Mondays and Fridays.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
RESPONSIBILITIES OVERVIEW
You will be involved in a range of engineering projects, from developing proprietary platforms to implementing open source and vendor software. You will also participate in incident management and on-call rotations. You will collaborate with other engineers to enhance the scalability, reliability, and observability of our systems to maintain and improve the firm's core infrastructure environment.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree required in computer science (or another technical discipline) or comparable work experience.
- Experience designing and building services that are scalable and resilient is required.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Go, Python) and familiarity with modern development practices and tools is required.
- Excellent Written and Verbal Communication skills are crucial as the role will entail significant interaction with different departments across the firm.
- We seek candidates with demonstrated knowledge of technology infrastructure combined with the ability to debug complex issues under pressure and run services across hardware, virtual machines, and containers.
- Expertise in tools enhancing operational resilience, such as monitoring, canary deployments, auto-remediation, auto-scaling, and other DevOps practices is highly sought after.
- Experience in developing and implementing CI/CD, automated testing, and risk reduction patterns. GPFS experience is beneficial, but not required.
