We are seeking a seasoned Site Superintendent to join our dynamic team in the finance industry. This is a unique opportunity for an individual with a strong background in construction, specifically in the areas of Podium Mixed-use and Multifamily projects with a value of over 40 million. This role is integral to our company's success and will require a hands-on approach to ground-up construction. With a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record of effectively managing all aspects of a construction site.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Site Superintendent, you will be responsible for:
1. Overseeing all phases of a construction project from initial planning to completion.
2. Supervising on-site personnel and subcontractors, ensuring that all work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.
3. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
4. Coordinating the efforts of the project team, including architects, engineers, and other professionals.
5. Providing daily updates on the project status to stakeholders and resolving any issues that may arise.
6. Conducting quality control inspections to ensure that the work meets the required standards.
7. Collaborating with the project manager to develop a project schedule and budget.
8. Implementing risk management procedures to minimize project delays and cost overruns.
9. Ensuring the project site remains clean and organized, reducing potential safety hazards.
10. Establishing a positive relationship with clients, maintaining open communication, and ensuring client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Site Superintendent, specifically in Podium Mixed-use and Multifamily projects valued over 40 million.
2. Proven experience in ground-up construction.
3. A thorough understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
4. Excellent knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
5. Strong leadership and team management skills.
6. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
7. The ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
8. Proficiency in construction management software.
9. A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
10. Certification as a Construction Supervisor or a similar role will be an advantage.
