About the Job
Overview:
A Ski and Snowboard Repair Technician provides quality customer service and product knowledge, along with daily tasks of the operation. Repair Technicians are excited to help each and every guest with their needs by being an expert on products and brands offered in all Big Sky Resort outlets. The ideal candidate would have at least one year of experience repairing skis and snowboards but this is not required.
Responsibilities:- Will be required to gain strong knowledge of Big Sky Resort property and the surrounding area, being able to answer questions about activities and sights in the area
- Tune and repair experience preferred
- Repair technicians will be required to have a basic knowledge of ski and snowboard maintenance and repair, allowing them to make suggestions based on guests’ wants and needs
- Acquire ski binding certifications for mounting and adjusting all brands Big Sky Resort carries, as well as other major brands…Training will be provided
- Must enjoy working with their hands and feel comfortable working with hand tools and tuning machines
- Give accurate and current information about the merchandise for all brands we carry
- Utilize the tools and training provided by Big Sky Resort and management to develop long-term customer relationships and increase sales
- Maintain the Boyne Rewards signup and loyalty program in your location
- Cleaning, organizing, and stocking daily to keep the tune and repair area grand opening sharp
- Must be able to work independently and multi-task, greeting all guests promptly entering the store and hosting a warm atmosphere
- Always report to work on time or notify in advance if absent or late
- Employees are expected to use the register without error and to be consistently accurate in all transactions
- Practice security measures that help prevent theft; understand the procedures for handling shoplifters
- Always practicing safety awareness at all times
- Maintain a positive and cheerful attitude at all times
- Apply the above standards to all phone calls and questions
Training and Employee Growth:
- Participate in all required Big Sky Resort Retail employee training
- Be proactive in your ongoing education regarding the company, weekly reports, products, and the outdoor retail business
- Take advantage of additional in-store and outside training opportunities that are offered

- Proficient with computers and registers

Physical Requirements:
- Continually able to stand/walk for extended periods, necessary to provide tune and repair floor coverage
- Continually able to reach overhead, bend, squat, kneel, and carry products, necessary for customer service, inventory re-stock, and store merchandising
- Ability to walk up and down the staircase, carrying boxes, products, and other necessary store-related items
- Ability to regularly perform store maintenance items: sweep, vacuum, empty trash, clean
- Ability to safely lift boxes up to 55 lbs. assisted
- Comfortable climbing ladders
