Skilled Laborer/Concrete - Southland Holdings

HIRING LOCAL LABORERS IN DFW!!

Southland Holdings is currently accepting resumes for highly motivated construction workers to join our team as skilled EXPERIENCED Concrete Laborers

Duties:
• Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in sanitary sewer construction projects; performs manual work in preparing surfaces for paving.
• Excavates and fills trenches and ditches.
• Maintain clean job site, pick up tools/equipment, secure job site each day-eliminate potential hazards.
• Remove debris and trash at construction sites using wheelbarrows
• Performs materials handling and storage.
• Loads and unloads trucks and hauls and hoists materials.
• Direct traffic at/near building sites, carry out other traffic management activities
• Maintain tools and equipment
• Erect and destruct concrete forms, scaffolding and ramps
• Dig trenches and place pipes or cables for drains and extra services
• Construct and maintain roads, pathways or railways
• Mix, transfer and extend materials such as concrete and asphalt
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager

Requirements:
• Construction experience
• Must be physically capable of navigating rugged terrain for purpose of performing duties outlined above.
• Must work in all weather conditions, be prepared for both extreme heat and cold
• Must be able to work independently and maintain a schedule of work
• Ability to stand, squat, stoop, bend, lift for extended periods of time
• Must pass post offer drug screen and E-verify all candidates

Desired qualifications:
• OSHA safety training and a current First Aid and CPR certificate
