Responsible for providing physical labor during all phases of construction and production; provides a broad range of support in areas such as painting, cutting, hand work, moving materials, clearing areas, site preparation, shoveling and basic equipment and tool operation; and follows all safety protocols in performing duties.
Salary $18-$22/hr
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Responsible for providing physical labor during all phases of construction and production; provides a broad range of support in areas such as painting, cutting, hand work, moving materials, clearing areas, site preparation, shoveling and basic equipment and tool operation; and follows all safety protocols in performing duties.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Executes daily work instructions received from Shop Superintendent in a timely manner.
- Loads, unloads, and moves construction materials around various worksites.
- Records the material amount or count received and circulated.
- Ensures the worksite is organized and free of clutter, rubble and garbage.
- Operates basic tools and equipment and uses safe work habits while performing job functions.
- Helps in setting up and operating hand and power tools common to the welding trade.
- Uses a rake or shovel, spread gravel and other construction materials over ground surfaces.
- Examines work pieces for defects and measures work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Maintains industry vehicles and material handling equipment in safe and good working condition.
- Follows safety protocol, including wearing safety gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.
- Assists in waste disposal and recycling activities.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS: DRIVER'S LICENSE REQUIRED WITH GOOD DRIVING RECORD:
- High school education or equivalent. Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Requires a minimum of two years of painting and/or construction experience; or completion of an accredited two-year training program; or equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
- Knowledge of hand tools, cleaning utensils, painting supplies, and related work objects.
- Lifts and carries heavy objects, and works under conditions of restricted movement, a dirty environment, air contamination, intense noise, and hazardous materials.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Understands strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.
- Ability to work independently and operate under pressure in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
