Skilled Laborer II/CDL-A Driver  

Wage:$31.20 per hour 

Full time position: 45 hour per week 

FLSA Status: Non-exempt 

Reports to Foreman 

PSC Construction is seeking full-time Skilled Laborers to help with grading and underground utility installations for heavy industrial and private clients, as well as move vehicles as needed. 

Essential Functions:  

• Frequently use hands and talk/hear 

• Ability to see color 

• Frequently lift, bend, stoop, climb, and jump 

• Continuous driving automotive equipment 

• Being near machinery 

• Changes in temperature 

• Working regularly around dirt and dust  

• Walk long distances and stand long periods of time 

• Written and verbal communication skills 

• Reasoning, math, and language 

• Occasional travel 

Job Description: 

• Safe operation of hand and power tools 

• Knowledge of concrete forming and finishing

• Dig ditches or trenches, backfill and compact trenches using some equipment 

• Installation of water, sewer, and storm drain piping 

• Load and unload building materials  

• Safe and on time delivery of equipment to customers on job sites 

• Operate tractor/trailer units 

• Order permits 

• Operate dump truck  

• Run parts as need for Mechanic 

• Light Maintenance of company owned equipment  

• Manage equipment in a safe and responsible manner 

Requirements: 

• Mandatory background and drug screening

• 3+ verifiable years of experience in underground utility, earthwork, and/or the civil construction industry 

• Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule 

• OSHA 10 or 30 a plus 

• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency 

• Provide your own tools  

• CDL class A – No Restrictions except a V restriction. 

• Tanker Endorsement is a plus  

• Truck and equipment safety knowledge 

• Good communication and customer relation skills

• Positive attitude and willingness to be helpful with various equipment and yard maintenance  

• Mechanically inclined
