About the Job
High school diploma or equivalent.
Current CPR or BLS certification.
Successful completion of a sleep technology program associated with a state licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility, preferred.
Six months of experience as a sleep technician I with documented proficiency in all required competencies, preferred.
Holds a Certified Polysomnography Technician (CPSGT) credential or equivalent, or a BRPT aligned credential making them board eligible, preferred.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
Working Conditions: Exposure to blood and body fluids, communicable diseases, chemicals, radiation and repetitive motions; Category 1-Occupational exposure.
Physical Demands: Frequently required to stand; full range of body motion including crouching, stooping, reaching, bending and twisting may be required. Use of hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and talk or hear. Occasionally required to walk and sit. Must regularly lift and/or move up to ten (10) pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty (50) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
