The Gund Company has an immediate opening at our St. Louis, MO manufacturing plant for a full-time second shift Slitter Operator.

Shift: Second (2:00 pm -10:30 pm, Mon-Fri)
Annual Salary or Hourly Wage: $21-$23 + 15% shift differential (base wage dependent on experience)
Plant/Work Location: 2121 Walton, Rd. St. Louis, MO 63114

(think: Customized non-conductive parts for diverse industries). We manufacture and fabricate custom parts from drawings and sample parts (reverse engineering).

What are we looking for?
- Secure work pieces in proper machine table, holding device, or other appropriate surface using clamps and wrenches.
- Load, operate and manufacture a variety of parts using various manufacturing equipment to make custom parts according to customer orders and instructions written on Work Orders and blueprints.
- Complete project work as needed involving the assembly of parts that require the use of hand tools, paint accessories and mechanical devices.
- This position reports to the production supervisor of Rotating Equipment market.
What specifically will you be doing?
· Ensure machinery is set up, works properly, and conforms with company quality, quantity, and efficiency standards.
· Operate one or more non-CNC controlled production machines
· Assembly duties that require the use of various hand tools.

- Experience in a job shop, machining, and manufacturing environment is required.
- Demonstrated ability to take a process from beginning to end (from quote to delivery).
- A genuine curiosity and deep desire to become the best (SME-Subject Matter Expert)!

Work Environment
The work environment is typical of most shop environments, not climate controlled and subject to outdoor weather conditions. Team members are exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting.
- Frequent exposure to fumes/dust particles; may require use of respirators or other types of PPE.
- May come in contact with toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
