This position is responsible for the proper scheduling of slot personnel on multiple shifts, providing policy and procedure oversight and guidance pertaining to slot operations by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate staff, as well as demonstrating the GILA WAY.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Promotes and provides excellent guest service experiences to both internal and external guests.
- Walks the floor, ensuring an excellent guest experience, observing slot performance and handling disputes.
- Enforces and ensures compliance with all policies and procedures.
- Reviews schedules across multiple shifts to ensure efficient floor coverage and excellent guest service.
- Provides input in identifying and recommending changes in enterprise policies and programs as they affect the morale, attitude, and retention of employees.
- Coordinates feedback, reporting, and communication channels that encourage timely and effective communication within the department and all other areas of the enterprise.
- Attends meetings and conferences to further develop and improve performance and managerial effectiveness.
- Performs administrative duties such as creating correspondence, memos, email and telephone calls.
- Consults with casino management in regard to machine placement and location for optimal results.
- Responsible for mentoring and developing Pathways Mentorship Program participants to successfully transition management level positions.
- Maintains a dependable work attendance record with extremely infrequent absences and/or lateness.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Performs other special projects, analyses, and duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises multiple slot employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Skills/ Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experienced in Slot Operations.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability to perform the GILA WAY which is as follows; Greet our guest, Interact positively with our guest, Listen actively to our guest, Appreciate our guest.
- Must possess excellent guest service skills, strong telephone etiquette, and be a self-starter with the ability to follow-up and complete tasks in a timely manner with minimum supervision.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as well as to gain the cooperation of guests and fellow team members.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Proficient in the use of personal computers Microsoft Office Suite Software and Enterprise specific programs.
- This position must have, or an ability to acquire within one year, an in-depth knowledge and thorough understanding of Enterprise Policies and Procedures, governmental regulations, and technical rules relevant to their responsibilities.
