Consumers Energy is re-imagining how we use social media. While we’re busy online, we are not utilizing each of our social media channels to their fullest potential. For this role, you will be analyzing metrics to help us strategically build and execute plans, across individualized channels, to make them come to life on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Pinterest, and YouTube.
Your day-to-day will include writing posts crafted to take advantage of the unique properties of each channel, consulting on video direction, working with our Visual Design team to create eye-catching graphics for your posts, working with a third party to maintain a publishing calendar, analyzing metrics to inform future content decisions, and helping manage our growing community of followers.
Skills:
The ideal candidate will:
Be a skilled writer with a portfolio to prove it.
Know how to use Canva or a similar tool while also understanding how to work with professional graphic designers.
Be deeply familiar with Meta Business Manager.
Have experience using Meltwater or similar social media publishing software.
Understand analytics and use them to adapt to evolving social media trends.
Demonstrated ability to execute against brand guidelines and write in brand voice to give a consistent experience across platforms.
A Bachelor’s Degree and five years of experience are required for this role or eight years of social media communications in lieu of having a degree.
