Overview: We are seeking a strategic and creative Social Media and Content Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in enhancing our brand's digital presence through content creation and integrated strategies across social media platforms, creators / UGC, reputation management, and customer data platform utilization. The ideal candidate will have a passion for social media, possess strong analytical skills, and have the ability to leverage customer insights to drive engagement and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies that encompass paid advertising, organic content, influencer partnerships, and customer engagement through our customer data platform.
- Concept engaging content (text, image, video) that resonates with our audience and maintains brand consistency. Develop content calendar that stretches across channels and social media platforms, and balances across promotions, seasonally relevant content, and various engagement pieces. Submit briefs and work with creative team through the production process
- Manage and optimize paid social media campaigns across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and Facebook to achieve business objectives and maximize ROI, while always maintaining a strong understanding of performance across KPIs and objectives.
- Utilize our customer data platform to segment audiences, personalize marketing efforts, and enhance customer experiences across digital channels.
- Manage all elements of reputation management including social media moderation, store listings (Google/Google Maps, Yelp, Apple Maps, Facebook, etc..), store reviews, etc.. coordinate with the field and customer service teams to ensure they are properly equipped to manage customer feedback and escalations.
- Identify and collaborate with creators to develop user generated content and amplify brand reach and engagement
- Monitor social media channels, website analytics, and customer data platform metrics to track performance, generate insights, and recommend optimizations to improve strategy effectiveness.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging platforms, and best practices in social media, influencer marketing, customer data management, and customer marketing.
Qualifications:
- Strong creative mind and has a pulse on what’s trending in social media in terms of content on the various platforms, and also from a behind the scenes business and technology perspective (ie. AI, Meta Advantage+, third party cookie tracking, etc..)
- Experience with digital marketing / paid media analytics. Understands core concepts of ad platform and website analytics, ROI measurement, spend efficiency, and marketing funnel analysis
- B2C retail experience is a strong plus, especially with omni-channel (both instore and online)
- Proven work experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, with a strong emphasis on managing paid, organic, and influencer marketing campaigns.
- Experience in utilizing customer data platforms to drive personalized marketing campaigns and customer insights.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms (e.g., Facebook Ads Manager, Instagram Insights) and their respective advertising and analytics tools.
- Experience using AI whether that is within social media platforms or third party productivity tools
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content and effectively collaborate across teams.
- Experience with Heap (web analytics)
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, generate reports, and make data-driven decisions.
COMPENSATION:
As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, American Freight provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and cultural fit. The range of starting pay for this role is $90,000 to 100,000 per year.
