Our internship program provides a hands-on learning experience at a high-profile organization with a dynamic digital communications team. Successful candidates will aid in the planning, execution, and distribution of multimedia videos and content creation for the Bank’s social media channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and X) in support of our efforts to promote public awareness and understanding of the Philadelphia Fed and the Federal Reserve System.
The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia is seeking a graduate or undergraduate student entering their junior or senior year for an internship working with the Digital Content team in the Strategic Communications and Digital Engagement (SCDE) department. Students majoring in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Advertising, or similar fields of study are encouraged to apply.
You will work with the Senior Storytelling Specialist and Senior Social Media & Digital Engagement Associate to plan , prepare, create, and distribute content on the Bank’s digital channels. In this position, you will focus on reporting skills, shooting, editing video, writing, and periodically coordinating with the Messaging team. You will also assist with content creation for the Bank’s social media channels, which include LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and X, to support the Bank’s strategic priorities, new research, events, and other work. Types of projects can include internal stories released on the intranet, social media, event filming and photography, creating training videos, research, and filming prep. Other work to be assigned as needed in support of department objectives. This position offers future communications leaders and media professionals an opportunity to gain hands-on experience at a high-profile organization with a dynamic and growing digital communications function.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist multimedia team with brainstorming concepts for projects and pre-production research as needed.
- Craft visually compelling videos and interviews.
- Gather b-roll and photos of people including developing a content plan, writing copy, coordinating creative assets, and seeking approvals for distribution on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and X.
- Assist with studio set-up and editing.
- Aid in the creation, refinement, and implementation processes around creation of digital content.
- Collaborate with the Creative team to identify appropriate visual assets for use on digital channels.
- Interface with internal partners, including subject matter experts, writers, editors, and business leaders to help partner groups accomplish their goals.
Requirements:
- Basic working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications – especially Premiere; familiarity with Audition, After Effects, Illustrator, and/or Photoshop also a plus.
- Experience with a brand or organizational social media presence, including writing for social media.
- Strong attention to detail, initiative, and follow-through skills.
- Team player with strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, including operating in a fast-paced environment and managing competing priorities.
- Illustrates a go-getter attitude with a knack for creative problem solving.
The hourly rate for this position is $21.00 per hour.
