SUMMARY:
Our client's Communications team is looking for a collaborative and detail-oriented Social Media contractor to manage its social and editorial programs. They will work closely with the broader communications team, as well as other marketing teams and functional groups. This person will manage our cross-channel strategy on social media and use data to determine what's working and what's not. They will develop and drive integrated social activations to build awareness at the top of the funnel around core themes, products and thought leadership platforms. The manager will also act as 'editor-in-chief " of the blog and content programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage select corporate social media channels, handling strategy to execution, analysis and reporting.
Act as 'editor-in-chief " of the owned content and channels, including the blog, keep track of posts in a weekly calendar, review submissions for blogs and collaborate with the writers, and serve as final editor for most posts on the blog.
Create content for owned channels: Write. A lot. Then edit more. Create video content leveraging the studio and production team at headquarters
Create and manage organic social and editorial programs to support marketing-wide brand initiatives.
Work with cross-functional partners in Engineering, Sales, Careers and more to help enable their social programs while maintaining global quality standards and keeping everything on-message and strategically aligned.
Work with the broader marketing team to push forward announcements and thought leadership platforms with all programs.
Track, analyze, and report social metrics and other results.
QUALIFICATIONS:
3-5+ years of professional experience in Communications, Public Relations, Social Media or Product Marketing in technology (B2B a plus).
A self-starter with a sharp eye detail.
Exceptional writing and editing skills.
Excellent understanding of social media channels, content development and metrics.
Comfortable coaching senior executives on social media best practices.
Experience executing social programs in collaboration with subject matter experts.
Experience leading the development of creative assets and content for owned channels, including across written and video formats.
Flexible - you have a comfortable with ambiguity and can prioritize and reprioritize tasks.
