Social Media Specialist
Partner with and support the Marketing Content & Communications team in the activation of Social Media campaigns across the McNaughton-McKay Brands portfolio. The Social Media Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and highlight products and services to drive business results. The Social Media Specialist will be well-versed in current social media trends, platforms, and best practices, with experience managing and tracking social media campaigns from concept to completion.
In this role, you will:
- Develop engaging and creative content for various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, X (Twitter), Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and podcast platforms (e.g. Buzzsprout).
- Collaborate with the internal marketing team to align social media content with overall marketing goals and campaigns.
- Plan social media campaigns around vendor promotions, product updates, partner and company events, and all other marketing initiatives.
- Ensure social media campaigns are aligned with sales team initiatives and take into account company and partner branding.
- Manage and maintain the company’s social media profiles and presence, ensuring consistency in brand voice and messaging.
- Help create and manage a flow of user generated content from employees to share on social media.
- Manage and maintain location information on Google and coordinate with internal experts on responses to Google reviews.
- Monitor social media channels for industry trends, competitor and partner activity, and community events.
- Track and analyze social media performance in accordance with social media campaigns using relevant tools and KPIs (key performance indicators).
- Provide reports on key metrics and insights, adjusting social media strategies as needed to drive improvement.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities to be successful include:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, best practices, and emerging trends.
- Strong verbal communication, writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Creative thinking and the ability to translate complex concepts into easy-to-understand content.
- Proficient in social media management tools and analytics platforms.
- Familiarity with Sprout Social and employee advocacy tools.
- Familiarity with best practices in SEO, social media KPIs and content management systems.
- Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Proficiency in marketing software and tools (e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot), Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Microsoft 365, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Intelligence).
- Detail oriented with critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and complete a variety of tasks, as directed while still exhibiting your own creativity and initiative as appropriate.
- Self-motivated with the ability to build rapport, inspire confidence, establish trust and credibility and be a part of a team.
