Job Summary:
The Social Media Specialist guides the development and execution of social media strategy and serves as the voice of the brand across social media channels. They will work to increase brand awareness with new audiences and engage our current audience with compelling, meaningful, and measurable content and tactics.
Core Responsibilities:
- Partner with Brand Managers to build and execute social media strategies to grow brand awareness and engage our audiences.
- With Content Marketing Manager, develop social media scorecard and reports and communicate results and learnings regularly.
- Maintain a centralized social media calendar in Asana, connected to appropriate projects, and share regular status updates from Asana.
- Consistently drive the brand voice and tone across all social platforms within posts, stories, and messages, responding to and moderating community members in a timely manner.
- Be the voice of the brand when proactively participating in conversations across social media platforms, seeking out opportunities to connect with new audiences.
- Discover, develop, create, and distribute content (visual, video, text) that is optimized for social platforms, specifically Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
- Partner with Marketing and eComm teams to support campaign and content development.
- Champion cross-team and cross-department collaboration to source social media content ideas and propose ideas and concepts for social media content.
- In partnership with Consumer Services team, provide community feedback and digital marketing insights to management, leadership, and other stakeholders.
- Support the strategic execution of social media and cross-channel giveaways that support growing our social media audience and help coordinate prize fulfillment.
- Track and analyze competitors’ social media platforms and marketing activities, sharing key activities regularly.
- Keep current of social media and industry trends.
The Successful Candidate will:
- Have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or related field or equivalent combination of education and years of experience.
- 4+ years' experience in Marketing, Branding, Communications, or similar, with at least 2 years focused on social media.
- Creative brainstorming of innovative ways to amplify content and increase engagement.
- Well-versed in various social spaces/communities and brand/customer focuses.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize under tight and changing deadlines.
- Demonstrated analytical and reporting skills.
- Illustrate a dedication to meeting requirements of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring all feel seen and heard.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to work in a team environment, give honest, direct feedback, and proactively communicate when challenges arise.
- Strong ability to multi-task and seamlessly move from project to project.
- Experience in content creation and providing direction for content development.
- Experience in managing budgets for content creation with agencies and influencers preferred.
- Enthusiastic commitment to continuous learning of social media and digital marketing trends and innovations.
