About the Job
Our Client, a Public Utility that provides natural gas and electricity to the majority of Michigan's 10 million residents is seeking a talented and self-driven individual for needs serving in the role of Social Media Analyst.
A social media analyst is a professional responsible for monitoring, measuring, and analyzing social media trends and strategies to maximize the online presence and performance of a company, organization, or individual. They provide valuable insights and recommendations based on their analysis to enhance social media engagement and achieve marketing objectives.
Responsibilities
- Monitoring and analyzing social media trends, strategies, and activities to identify opportunities for increasing brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales.
- Collecting and interpreting data from various social media platforms to assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
- Creating comprehensive reports and presentations that communicate key findings, trends, and recommendations to the management team or clients.
- Conducting competitive analysis to benchmark the company's social media performance against industry standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborating with the marketing and communication teams to develop and implement effective social media strategies aligned with overall business goals.
- Utilizing social media analytics tools to track metrics such as reach, engagement, conversion rates, and customer demographics.
- Identifying and implementing new trends and best practices in social media marketing to optimize the company's online presence.
- Monitoring social media conversations and responding to customer inquiries, comments, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Staying updated with the latest developments in social media platforms, algorithms, and technologies to ensure the implementation of cutting-edge strategies.
- Working with cross-functional teams to integrate social media insights into broader marketing and business strategies.
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business communication, public relations, marketing, advertising, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in social media analysis, preferably within the same industry or a related field.
- Proficiency in using social media analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for conveying findings and recommendations to various stakeholders.
- Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices for optimizing social media content.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop innovative social media strategies.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Knowledge of advertising and branding principles to align social media efforts with overall marketing goals.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to keep up with the rapidly changing social media landscape.
Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
Permanent placed employees
Paid by and qualify for benefits in accordance with the policies of the hiring company.
