Applicants are required to submit a portfolio showcasing their previous work in videography. The portfolio should demonstrate the applicant's skills, creativity, and ability to capture compelling visuals. Please include a selection of your best videos that highlight various styles, techniques, and subject matter. These can be social media posts.

Compensation:
Pay: $15.00/hour
Meal Plan: For students without a meal plan, a Block 50 meal plan is provided. These are meant to be used during photoshoots, and creation of videos in case props are needed. If one is on a meal plan, adjustments may be made to accommodate needs.
Position Overview: The College Store is looking for a creative and motivated Videography Intern to help showcase our store's products, including college-branded apparel, gadgets, and accessories. As our videography intern, you will play a crucial role in producing engaging, high-quality video content that resonates with students and promotes our store. This is an excellent opportunity for students passionate about videography, social media trends, and retail marketing.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Produce and edit 3-5 weekly videos featuring the college store's products and student models, ensuring all content is engaging, trendy, and aligned with store branding.
- Plan and execute video shoots, managing all aspects from scripting to post-production, while assisting the photographer with bi-weekly and smaller weekly photo shoots.
- Edit videos from the photoshoots with attention to detail, including color correction and retouching of photos, to maintain high-quality content standards.
- Develop innovative promotional campaigns to boost the store's visibility and student engagement on social media platforms.
- Stay current with social media trends (Instagram, TikTok) to create content that incorporates popular sounds and formats.
- Organize and maintain a social media calendar in Notion to schedule and plan posts, ensuring timely content delivery
- Develop and execute innovative promotional campaigns aimed at increasing the college store's visibility and enhancing student engagement on social media platforms.
- Have one 30-minute meeting every week with the Marketing and Web Coordinator (supervisor) to track progress, align on content strategies, and ensure consistency across platforms.
- Attend a one 1-hour staff meeting every week.
- Expand the network of models volunteering for the college store.
- Be prepared to take on other responsibilities as they arise. Flexibility is key as the internship evolves and new tasks or projects may emerge.
Requirements:
- Strong work ethic, collaborative spirit, creativity and ability to think outside the box.
- Minimum 2.8 GPA.
- Relevant major OR career interest.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, using photography studios in Tyler, content creation, Adobe PremierPro, Notion, industry trends and techniques relevant to fashion photography.
- Have their own computer, camera (or ability to rent it out from the cage) and phone to use during the duration of internship
