Responsibilities:
This person will be responsible for handling all aspects of a client’s Social Security claim. This position requires you to be on the telephone for extended
periods of time. Qualified candidates must have an excellent phone voice and be comfortable talking to clients about sensitive subjects.
- Perform administrative duties, such as scheduling, organizing case files, and managing logistics.
- Continuous communication with pertinent cases updates to clients, management, and attorneys
- Maintain consistent contact with SSA/Hearing's office for case updates, decisions, and any other claim information
- Maintain and manage the accuracy of files in paper or electronic filing systems
- Prepare legal documentation and correspondence for review and submission
- Monitor cases to ensure deadlines are met
- Follow-up with clients and SSA to facilitate completion and processing of claims
- Collect, examine, and organize evidence and other legal documents for case preparation, and attorney review
- Review and organize medical records to determine what records need to be requested
Requirements and skills:
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Excellent customer service, time management, and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to develop working relationships with clients, field associates and vendors
- Capacity to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- The ability to work on the phones for extended periods of time
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Consistent record of attendance, reliability, and integrity
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology a plus
- High School diploma or equivalent is required
