Social Service Technician II (SSTII)

Job Requirements

Social Service Technician II / SSTII

• 1 years experience in a healthcare setting or working with Developmental Disabilities (DD) population, preferred but not required
• High School Diploma/GED

Job Description

• The client support worker is responsible for providing various patient-related services to meet personal care needs and to promote comfort and independence in the DD setting. Services are limited to those in compliance with the facility policies/procedures and applicable state regulations.
• Facilitate activities
• Transport individuals into the community
• Complies with ATC policies/procedures.
• Complies with client facility policies/procedures.
• Maintains confidentiality relative to patient care and facility practices in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
• Communicates information effectively to appropriate personnel.
• Assists with collection of specimens; takes and records vital signs; and assists with feeding of patients.
• Documents patient care as assigned in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Follows the patient's treatment plan as assigned.
• Maintains competency by participating in continuing education programs and meets state specific requirements.
• Provides patient care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner that considers cultural diversity and age appropriateness so that autonomy, rights, and dignity are preserved.
