New Story In-District Services (IDS) partners with local school districts to enhance special education services by providing BCBAs, Teachers, RBTs, and Paraprofessionals within schools. Our mission is to support and empower teachers and paraprofessionals, ensuring optimal outcomes for students with various diagnoses. Through targeted support and professional development, we aim to improve the quality of education and contribute to meaningful improvements across the district.
New Story is seeking a qualified"Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or a Masters Level Social Worker (MSW) in Mercersburg, PA to provide support for our In District Consultation program in our school district located in Mercersburg, Pennsylvania.
This is a fulltime, 10 month position - paid for all school holidays and breaks, including summer.
Key Responsibilities:
• Student and Teacher Support: Assist designated classroom students and teachers in implementing strategies for student progress.
• Counseling Services: Conduct individual, group, and family counseling sessions based on needs assessments.
• Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention services as needed.
• Case Management Collaboration: Work closely with district staff to ensure effective case management.
• Staff Consultation: Offer consultation to district staff through regular meetings.
Qualifications We're Looking For:
• Education Enthusiast: Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
• Certified Pro: Relevant certification or licensure in school counseling or a related area.
• Counseling Expertise: Strong understanding of individual, group, and family counseling techniques and best practices.
• IEP Knowledge: Familiarity with IEP development and implementation processes.
• Crisis Management Skills: Proven ability to provide effective crisis intervention services.
• Collaborative Team Player: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and district staff.
