Responsibilities:In keeping with the Marian Medical Center healthcare philosophy the Medical Social Worker is responsible for providing direct casework services to patients and families and for collaboration with appropriate healthcare workers and community agencies.
Coverage includes but is not limited Arroyo Grande, Pismo Beach, Grover Beach, Oceano, and Nipomo. Depending on volume of patients and availability of staffing, coverage may include floating outside of this area as well.
Qualifications:- Graduate school internship experience in a healthcare setting with references verifying the ability to function with a high degree of independence and clinical competence plus one year social work experience in a healthcare setting
- Completion of Hospice Orientation Program
- Licensed as a Clinical Social worker by the State Board of Behavioral Science
- Current CPR certification
- California drivers license and proof of liability insurance for automobile being used
