Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Social Worker to join our Struthers Parkinson's Center team! Position Summary: Provides direct social work services to patients, extending services to family members in need of identified social worker services, providing them with psychosocial and environmental support. Makes available a full range of treatment modalities with individuals, families, and groups, based on social work assessment and diagnosis. Coordinates social work services with other departments and providers within the Park Nicollet Health Services i.e., hospice, hospital and clinic based social workers and out of system providers. Provides social work services to the patient and associated community. May provide clinical supervision to other Social Workers. Works with physicians, nurse clinicians, other medical/surgical specialists, and other Park Nicollet Health Services employees. Contact with patients and their families. Struthers Parkinson's Center serves patients & families through comprehensive assessment, interdisciplinary treatment, support, research & education. Our goal is to improve quality of life and help patients live well during all stages of Parkinson's disease & related movement disorders. We are a Parkinson's Foundation Center of Excellence and nationally acclaimed for our focus on team-based care for individuals/families living with Parkinson's disease and related movement disorders. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm Required Qualifications: Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination: Master's degree in social work. Licensure/ Registration/ Certification: Must be licensed as Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or LISW. Current license to practice social work in the state of Minnesota. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Requires basic computer/keyboarding skills. Demonstrates ability to conduct individual and group therapy sessions. Demonstrates ability to coordinate and facilitate group interactions. Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients. Individuals are responsible for the travel arrangements required to meet the expectations of the position. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software desired.
