Hours of operation: 8:30am - 5pm
- Acts as a clinical resource for all social workers including precepting new staff to the team, providing education and mentoring to all staff.
- Provides clinical supervision for BSWs, MSWs, and Patient Care Advocates.
- Collaborates with other departments in order to constantly improve social work services provided for patients and families.
- Performs duties that ensure effective assessment, intervention, care planning, outcome evaluation, documentation and collaboration/communication by social workers.
- Ensures social workers effectively collaborate and support interdisciplinary teams.
- Ensures social workers provide patient and family experiences that exceed their expectations and are in compliance with state and federal regulations, standards of practice and Joint Commission standards.
- Education/Regulatory Requirements:
- Graduate with a Masters degree from an approved college or university accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years Palliative, Hospice or Medical Social Work experience preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
- Expertise in social services, community resources, crisis intervention, and family dynamics in a health care setting.
- Must obtain a license in the State of Florida as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker within 2 years of hire date. The license must be maintained once obtained.
- Exhibits characteristics of leadership, team building, self-motivation, creativity, flexibility, and nurturing, while also possessing good communication skills in a variety of professional, emotional, and clinical settings.
- Works effectively under stress and deadlines.
