Our client is seeking a Software Architect in Orlando, FL. The Software Architect will play a critical role in designing and developing high-quality, scalable software solutions aligned with business goals. As a technical leader, you will guide the development team through the software development lifecycle, from concept and design to deployment and maintenance. You will be responsible for ensuring that all architectural solutions meet both technical and business requirements and adhere to best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Architecture:
- Lead the design and architecture of complex software systems and solutions.
- Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility.
- Design system architecture and communicate with stakeholders to ensure the development aligns with business goals.
- Evaluate and select appropriate software or hardware solutions to meet user needs.
- Technical Leadership:
- Act as a technical lead, working closely with developers, DevOps engineers, and QA teams to guide implementation.
- Provide mentoring and leadership to the development team on architectural best practices.
- Oversee architectural governance, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and guidelines.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with product managers, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and transform them into architectural blueprints.
- Communicate software designs to stakeholders and development teams through documentation and presentations.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure robust and secure designs.
- Technology Evaluation & Innovation:
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential benefits and fit for company needs.
- Perform proof-of-concepts (POCs) for new technologies, ensuring they align with long-term goals.
- Assess existing systems to identify areas for improvement or modernization.
- Code Quality & Standards:
- Establish coding standards and enforce development best practices such as code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration.
- Ensure software quality through unit tests, integration tests, and performance benchmarks.
- Documentation:
- Create detailed technical documentation for system architecture, APIs, and integration designs.
- Maintain clear documentation to support future development and maintenance efforts.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in software development, including experience in designing and developing large-scale, distributed systems.
- 3+ years of experience in a software architecture or similar leadership role.
- Proven experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Expertise in software design patterns, microservices architecture, and RESTful APIs.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of programming languages like Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data modeling.
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with frontend and backend technologies, including web, mobile, and API-based systems.
