Responsibilities:
- Design and develop the application per business requirements.
- Participate in JAD sessions to assist in the preparation of use cases and other design deliverables.
- Provide J2EE, WebSphere, JBoss Enterprise Application Server, web services, Oracle, IBM MQ, FileNet, and Client Mainframe integration application development expertise.
- Provide software configuration management for Java applications, with such utilities as Hudson, ANT, Maven, Jenkins and SVN.
- Participate in JAD sessions to assist in the preparation of use cases and other design deliverables.
- Interpret use case requirements, seek clarification from BA s as needed and estimate, propose, prototype, and develop solutions that integrate within the existing ECM technology stack where required, but are improvements and in line with ITS future direction when required.
- Provide technical documentation, solution prototypes, conduct demonstrations of work in progress and completed work to business subject matter experts and other technical staff.
- Provide mentoring to State staff and other contract resources in all tools as required
- Provide troubleshooting and end-user support and problem resolution.
- Senior 60 - 84 months - Software Architect - Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large-scale software system. Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance and provides guidance to others. May have an advanced education.
- 60 months experience with writing Java application software for data access, data structures, data manipulation, databases, and standard design patterns (J2EE) to solve complex business problems.
Secondary Qualifications:
- 60 months experience with writing Java application software for data access, data structures, data manipulation, databases, and standard design patterns (J2EE) to solve complex business problems.
- 60 months development experience in the document/ content management systems. (for example filenet.)
- 60 months experience with application standard design patterns (J2EE) to solve complex business problems.
- 60 months experience analyzing business processes and workflows and working with non-technical staff to develop system specifications to resolve business problems.
- 48 months performing testing and implementation, and preparing technical and user documentation for software conversions.
- Bachelor s Degree
